Discover Arcachon and its basin

Discover the city of Arcachon and its unique bay.

Arcachon offers an exceptional setting, with the Atlantic Ocean and the famous Dune of Pilat as a backdrop.

Situated between sea and forest, the city combines the elegance of its Belle Époque villas with modern dynamism. Its diverse districts, ranging from the Winter Town to the Spring Town, bear witness to the architectural and historical evolution of the region.

Arcachon is also a key location for nature, culture and leisure enthusiasts. The seafront is perfect for strolling, admiring the sunset or enjoying the many water activities. The city is also renowned for its market, its restaurants offering fresh seafood, and its casino, attracting a varied audience throughout the year.

The Mauresque Park, a true green jewel in the heart of the city, overlooks the bay and offers breathtaking panoramas. It is the ideal place to go for a walk, have a picnic or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. The park regularly hosts events, including concerts, exhibitions and open-air shows, contributing to the cultural life of the city.

Throughout the year, Arcachon celebrates the sea and culture with festivals, including the Cadences Festival, dedicated to dance, or the sea and sailors festival, thus perpetuating its maritime traditions.
